Our commitment to sustainability runs through everything we do, from where we purchase our energy to the construction materials used in the build; the way our farm shop is heated and how your shopping is wrapped.

We work with like-minded suppliers and partners who share these values.

Delivery boxes and paper packing material

Our cardboard packing boxes are 100% recyclable and are made from a minimum of 75% recycled fibres. All our cardboard originated from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified sustainable sources. This means it has been sourced in a sustainable way that adheres to strict regulations to guarantee it has been managed in a socially, environmentally and economically sound way.

Our natural paper shred and packing paper are also made from recycled material and are 100% recyclable.

Simply separate the cardboard and paper, flatten the cardboard and recycle both the paper and cardboard in your household recycling.

Woolcool fleece lining

Our Woolcool thermal insulation used in our packaging ensures your food remains chilled during transit. Woolcool is made from 100% sheep’s wool which is washed in a natural process and sealed in a recyclable polyethylene wrap. Wool is one of the most sustainable natural materials and is totally compostable and biodegradable, releasing valuable nitrates back into the soil.

Woolcool can be re-used for a variety of different purposes. Visit the Woolcool website or follow #letsboxclever on social media for Woolcool recycling inspiration.

Ice Packs

Our ice packs can be reused again and again – just place them in your freezer to refreeze.

If you would prefer to recycle them, simply pierce or snip and empty the water away. We like to water the plants, as our icepacks contain nothing but 100% water.

You can recycle the empty plastic at your local supermarket’s plastic bag recycling points or add to your kerbside recycling if accepted.

Vacuum Packs

Produce from our butchery is vacuum sealed in eco pouches. Manufactured from a range of natural products, including corn starch, cassava and eucalyptus fibre; they are 100% recyclable. They are also ocean-friendly too. Once you’ve removed your produce, you can pop our eco pouches into your food waste recycling or compost bins.

Plastic containers

Plastic pots are sometimes used to portion quantities of certain ingredients. Our pots are 100% recyclable. You can rinse them out and put these in your household recycling if your local council accepts them. Alternatively, they can be recycled at your local recycling centre.

Produce Bags

Our kraft paper produce bags are made from 75% sustainable raw materials and are fully recyclable.
