A relative new-comer in the British cheese world, Ashcombe is a semi hard cow’s milk cheese with a striking layer of wood ash running through the middle and a nutty, savoury flavour.

Delivery is £5.95 for standard delivery and £9.50 for Saturday delivery. 

To guarantee Saturday delivery, orders should be placed before 9am on Friday.

Our chilled items are packed using environmentally friendly Woolcool and biodegradable ice packs.   

From time to time delivery may take an additional day due to seasonal variations or volume. If you are ordering for a gift or a dinner party we advise to always allow an extra 24 hours. 

It is important that all meat products should be refrigerated as soon as you open your consignment.

Product Details

Produced by David Jowett, Ashcombe is inspired by Morbier, a French Alps cheese, and is so called because of the ‘Ash’ running through the centre and ‘Coombes’; ;steep-sided hills that surround the Cotswold area around the dairy. Rinsed in a traditional brine to create its distinctive rind, Ashcombe was crowned Supreme Champion at the 2022 British Cheese awards. The flavour is buttery, rich and comforting; the perfect semi-hard cheese for any cheeseboard.

How to store: Wrapped in wax paper, or a paper towel and placed in a plastic container and kept refrigerated.
